Tea Tea Tea Tea.. Morning Cuppa

After almost a year or more of no coffee and tea I've fallen in love again.. with TEA
As much as i used to love coffee, my love for it slowly died away.. it never kept me alert or any of those things caffeine is supposed to do for you.. i just liked how it tasted. But now, lets just say i don't like to be very close to people who've recently had coffee..not within smelling distance anyway. Caffeine breath is just not very appealing.. it never has been
Tea - well, tea makes me happy. And now i also get a nice buzz from a mild cuppa. A cup of tea on an empty stomach and God help the people around me - I am activity personified..i usually don't react to caffeine, nicotine, other '..ines' very much, but now - guess I'm just getting easy in my old age.

Anthem for August

I have plenty of talent and vision; I just don't give a sh*t
Yes, its not originial.. but i think its important to start a new month with a positive attitude.

Middle America?

i just read an article that was talking about rate increases in MIDDLE AMERICA.
i didn't know there was a middle America. i guess they meant Central America.. but still
It sounds like hobbit-land for the tinys in that part of the world.

Thai Airways Flight to Bangkok - How it is important to listen first and then act. OR How to sue an Airline

Passenger: Can i have a glass of water please
Air-hostess: Yes Sir, I'll be back

15 minutes later---air hostess gives passenger half a glass of liquid. Passenger touches the glass to his lips (barely has a sip)

Passenger: what is this?? what is this i ask you?
Air hostess: It is Vodka Sir

(this is when i removed my earphones so i could discreetly listen to the rest of the conversation)

Passenger: I did not ask for Vodka, i asked for Water. Go get me some water now !!!
Air Hostess: Ooh, i am so sorry sir, i thought you said vodka
Passenger: Quickly QUICKLY, get me some water now

20 minutes later, passenger complains to another air hostess who he assumes to be the senior one

Passenger: I had asked for water, and your friend bought me vodka.
Air Hostess: Oh I'm so sorry sir, are you ok now
Passenger: No i am not feeling well, i need a tablet -some medicine
Air Hostess: No no sir, i think you just have some more WATER and you will be fine

(goes to get more water.. and that how it continued the rest of the flight)
All this over one tiny tiny sip of vodka... if it wasn't early morning, i would have offered to finish it for him and get them all to shut up

I think Thai airways should be expecting a claim sometime soon

Good Cleavage - Bad Cleavage

So the question that came up was what basis is a cleavage good or bad..

Sushi had this analogy:
"Showing too much is bad cleavage, then its not attractive.
It needs to be just enough to keep you interested...A good cleavage is like a resume. If its good, you get a job interview."

This is why men and women don’t think alike.

CAMBODIA..

Cambodia was a lotta fun.. Siem Reap with all its temples and other things to see..Its also one of the few places i've seen where the history of these people is very visible in their lives till now.. the way they talk about the killing fields, their past.. Amazing place

Don't remember the name of this place..was off the beaten path, no tourists here at all, which is why i loved it

Ta phrom - The place i loved the most..

Random sunrise... not everyday i get up at 5:30

The deeper you go, the more dusty the roads get..

Angkor wat.... the main one...

Bayon...The many faces of Avalokiteshvara

Preah Khan

and then we went to this place for dinner one night called Deadfish...well...

Also, if you are going to Siem Reap, a really good hotel is The River Garden - very peaceful place run by an Australian woman.. they arrange almost anything for you.. from the best massages i've ever had to the whole tour of the city...

Elevator Yawning..

I've realised that everytime i'm getting off the elevator and i'm alone I begin yawning
And then the elevator doors open to the multitudes standing outside

How to have a great date and get your girl drunk?

Last week we went to Em by the River again.. there was a lovely Chinese couple at a table near us.. well, no, they weren't lovely.. funny and entertaining yes.. all we did that whole evening was look at their table and laugh... big lesson this was on how to have a great date and get your girl drunk at the same time while staying completely sober yourself.

Scene: couple are drinking wine, (also tea, water and some other drinks at the same time) The girl is talking..on and on... and the guy is barely trying to listen.
One minute later: they clink their wine glasses - The girl has a sip, the man wets his lips with wine and then has a HUGE sip of water..
30 secs later: same thing,. everytime they have a sip of wine, then clink glasses and he drinks more water than wine...
2 hrs later: She's left for the loo and he tops her drink with his own.
Man to waitress: "I want water!! MORE WATER !! "

Girl returns, same things goes on for another couple of hours...

Bloody hell!!! Do all guys do this?

Make your own Church sign

This is how bored i am today... looking at random sites and found this one...made this sign.. I'm bored

Indiana Jones and Theatre conversations

Finally went to watch Indiana Jones at the theatre the other day.. This is not the kind of movie where i would want noisy kids (or adults) around me ruining my concentration.. I tried, but couldn't help overhearing these bunch of American kids next to me.. They looked in their early teens

Kid One: The movie was supposed to start at 7, and it's still not begun yet
Kid Two: Exactly !!! I mean, WTF !!! Its been half and hour of just watching the ads..

Now i don't know how kids in the US speak, but I would think you usually abuse or you don't at all.. I've never actually heard anyone use an abbreviation of a cuss word.. You need to really imagine an angry 13yr old saying "WTF" in an American accent to appreciate why i dropped the whole packet of popcorn on the floor and was laughing for the next 20 mins (well, I'm laughing till now and its been a while)

As for the movie, well its Indian Jones.. Its made to entertain...and it was loads better than Get Smart. I guess Steve Carell either scores it big or not at all

How to save on wedding costs

Somewhere in the near futures (4 or 5 years more like it) the Boyfriend and me should be tying that knot (more like strangling as far as he is concerned) Now we don't want a big wedding, but our family & friends are big enough to occupy the entire island of Madagascar (i like to move it move it..sorry, that song just follows when i think of that country)
Anywho...this is my brilliant plan to ensure not so many guests turn up
I know he likes the plan but for the record, he does not want anything to do with it
So here goes..

I am a very bad singer.. terrible, horrible, 'scratching nails on a blackboard is better' would not be doing it justice.
So.. we will have a pre-wedding party, where we invite the people who we do not want at our wedding but have to invite either because we'll need to know them for some work later or out of social nicety and all that jazz..
At the party i announce that i will be singing a lot of beautiful heart warming songs throughout the wedding reception and then go on to sing a preview of what is to come on the big day..

If that doesn't make them want to be miles away on the wedding day, nothing will.

PS: Mom, i hope you're not reading this. If you are, well, it's true.. you're side of the family is larger than Dads

George Carlin..Rest in Peace

Just found out that George Carlin died on Sunday.. Tragic news indeed...I really liked that man's comedy... he had the balls to say things that others wouldn't or could'nt

Rest in Peace

My Darling Sister.. now the brains in the family

My Dear Harry Potter maniac of a Sister,
I hereby acknowledge that you are now the brains in the family seeing as you did loads better in your exams than i did when i gave them... (although it might have something to do with the fact that your funky college wannabe college that always aped everything mine did was much easier to sail through)

Either way... Congratulations.. and I'm proud of you

Any less that the 70+ you got and i would have had to take you along in my dowry..heehee.. ok ok kidding.
